Travel agencies and tour operators have to buy tickets 15 days in advance for groups of at least 10 people to receive the special prices. VNA said it would apply this program until the end of this year, excluding the specific occassions like the Hung King festival, Liberation Day (April 30), and International Labor Day (May 1). Tran The Dung, deputy director of Young Generation Travel Co., said the rates of package holiday tours would be just 30-35 percent cheaper than normal tours this year, instead of 35-40 percent last year, as flight rates have increased and tourism firms would no longer benefit from the preferential value added tax of 5 percent.
